When Obama called Dr Manmohan Singh 'guru'

The ruling dispensation's penchant of painting everything with the 'new India vs old India' brush is rubbished by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh.

Ramesh set the record straight for those who think India is being heard at international fora for the first time thanks to PM Modi.

Ramesh tweets, "In my presence at the Copenhagen Climate Conference in mid-Dec 2009 President Obama embraced Dr. Manmohan Singh saying: how is my Gooroo [guru] doing?"

Ramesh was at the time, chief negotiator for India at the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Copenhagen.

It's just that the BJP's PR machinery is well oiled.
