India's daily Covid count rises sharply to 7,240

India records 7,240 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, registering an increase of 38 per cent increase from yesterday when 5,233 new infections were reported.

Active cases rise to 32,498, with an increase of 3,641 cases.

Eight deaths were reported in the last 24 hours and 3,591 people recovered. -- ANI
