Mumbai sees spike in Covid count, logs 1242 cases

Mumbai witnessed a big jump in daily count, which crossed 1,000-mark on Monday as the city reported 1,242 new infections in the past 24 hours, said Maharashtra health department.

Maharashtra reported 1,881 new coronavirus cases during in the past 24 hours, said the state health department.

On Sunday, Maharashtra reported 1,036 COVID cases while Mumbai reported 676 cases. -- PTI
