Covid bodies transported in garbage truck

In Chhattisgarh, four Covid patients died in Dongargaon block of Rajnandgaon district yesterday allegedly due to non-availability of oxygen. Three of them died at a COVID Care Centre while the 4th died at a Community Health Centre. They were taken for cremation allegedly in a garbage vehicle.

"We've arranged 10-15 oxygen beds at every COVID care centre in district. Three of them had died last night, they were given oxygen support while being treated, yet to gather information on the fourth. As far as the vehicle's concerned, it's up to Nagar Panchayat to make such arrangements," the Chief Medical officer said.
