UP CM forms SIT for Hathras rape incident

Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath forms a three-member SIT to investigate the Hathras gangrape incident.

The CM has ordered that the SIT submit its report within 7 days. Yogi Adityanath has also directed for the trial of the case in a fast-track court.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi attacked the UP government and demanded for the resignation of the CM.

She tweeted, "Instead of protecting the victim and her family, your government became complicit in depriving her of every single human right, even in death. You have no moral right to continue as chief minister."
