Bachchan on news he's Covid -ve: Incorrect, fake

Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who was admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital after he tested positive for the Corona virus, has called news reports that he has now 'tested negative' as "incorrect, irresponsible, fake and an incorrigible lie."

Bachchan (77) was responding to a report by Times Now. News18 has also reported that the actor tested negative, in fact quoting Nanavati Hospital sources.

Bachchan announced on July 11 that he had tested positive for the virus and was in hospital. The same day, his son, Abhishek Bachchan, announced soon that he had tested positive as well and was also in the same hospital.

Abhishek's wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also tested positive and was isolated at home. Aishwarya was moved to hospital a week later. Jaya Bachchan tested negative.
