India's tally crosses 17 L with 54,736 new cases

The total number of novel coronavirus cases in India crossed 17,000-mark with 54,736 cases in last 24 hours.

Accoridng to the Health Ministry's fresh notification, India recorded 853 deaths in last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 37,364.

Meanwhile, Delhi now stands at the 12th position among the various states and union territories in the country in terms of active cases of Covid-19, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said.
