Uddhav to be elected Aghadi chief at Trident today

Congress President Sonia Gandhi has given her consent to the Common Minimum Program of the three parties (Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress). Modalities have been finalized between the alliance parties. The CMP will be released after the joint meeting today.

The Congress and Shiv Sena MLAs to go to Trident hotel where Uddhav Thackeray is to be elected leader of the legislative party -- the Mahavikas Aghadi.

Senior Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Ahmed Patel have just left for Mumbai where the action is taking place.

BJP MLA Kalidas Kolambkar will be Protem Speaker and will take oath shortly in the Raj Bhawan. Kolambkar says 'Oath of MLAs to be administered tomorrow when the session begins.'
