Update on the SC verdict on the disqualification of the Karnataka MLAs:

-- The Supreme Court says if elected in bypolls, these disqualified Karnataka MLAs can become ministers or hold public office. The court deprecates the manner in which these disqualified Karnataka MLAs directly approached it without first moving the high court. It said its verdict is based on facts and circumstance of the case and does not interfere in the Speaker's power to disqualify members.
