That is why she won: Asha Bhonsle praises Smriti

Fulsome praise for BJP minister Smriti Irani from an unexpected source -- veteran singer Asha Bhonsle.
Bhonsle tweeted a picture with Irani, who is now the Women and Child Development minister in Narendra Modi's Cabinet, sayig, "Irani won because she cares."
Asha Bhonsle, was one of 8000 people who attended Prime Minster Narendra Modi's oath ceremony on Thursday. Sharing her experience of the day, Bhonsle said she was stranded in the aftermath of the ceremony and it was Irani who offered to help. "I was stranded in the crazy rush post PM oath ceremony. No one offered to help me except @smritiirani who saw my plight & made sure I reached home safely. She cares & that's why she won."
Smriti Irani was one of 57 cabinet ministers who took oath with PM Modi.

Irani, 43, defeated Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, a Nehru-Gandhi family borough which he had retained since 2004. Congress had never lost the parliamentary seat in three decades except 1998.
