TMC attacked Shah as Didi wanted revenge: Modi

May 15, 2019 17:39

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Trinamool Congress attacked Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah's roadshow in Kolkata after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asserted that her party will take revenge against the BJP.

"Mamata didi had declared publicly two days ago that she will take revenge. She fulfilled her agenda within 24 hours, BJP president Amit Shah's roadshow was attacked," the PM said in Basirhat, West Bengal.

He also hit out at Banerjee over the arrest of BJP youth wing leader for sharing a morphed image of the West Bengal CM on social media.

"Didi, the daughters youre putting into jail will teach you a lesson. Why are you so angry over one photo?

"You yourself are an artist. I request you to make the ugliest portrait of myself and gift it to me after May 23, after my swearing-in as PM. I will not file an FIR against you," the PM said.   -- ANI/PTI
