A chargesheet has been filed against Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, and he has been charged under IPC 498A (dowry harassment) and 354A (sexual harassment).

In March last year, Shamis wife Hasin Jahan had accused him of domestic violence and extra-marital affairs. The Bengal pacer had then been probed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India's anti-corruption officials after allegations were made by his estranged wife that he had taken money from Pakistani contacts.

But at the end of the investigations by the head of the BCCI anti-corruption unit Neeraj Kumar, the paceman was found not guilty.

Shami was part of the Indian squad that lost the five-match ODI series against Australia on Wednesday, March 13.
