Rapper Hard Kaur charged with sedition for posts against Adityanath, RSS chief Bhagwat

Rapper-singer Hard Kaur has reportedly been booked for sedition for some of her latest social media posts.

According to a report by Times of India, the singer has been booked for social media posts against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

A compalint was filed by lawyer Shashank Shekhar, after which the police lodged an FIR against the singer under sections 124A (sedition), 153A (promoting enmity different groups on ground of religion, etc), 500 (defamation), 505 (statements conducing to public mischief) of IPC and section 66 of IT Act.

The complainant, an RSS volunteer, said that he was deeply hurt to see derogatory remarks against RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Hard Kaur, recently, posted a bunch of posts on her Facebook page.
