Union Minister Jitendra Singh announces manned mission to space: "On the eve of the 75th Independence anniversary of India in 2022, ISRO has resolved to send its first human mission into space. It could be before 2022. An exclusive special cell has been created. The Gaganyaan National advisory council will monitor the planning and preparation.
