Devotees continue to visit Somnath temple despite Vayu warning

Gujarat: The shed at the entrance of Somnath Temple, in Gir Somnath district, damaged due to strong winds. Devotees visited the Somnath Temple earlier this morning despite the alert issued in view of Cyclone Vayu.

Gujarat Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama reacts to the issue saying, temples can't be closed. "We have requested tourists not to visit, but 'aarti' is being performed since many years and can't be stopped. Yeh kudrati aafat hai, kudrat hi rok sakti hai, to kudrat ko hum kya rokein (this is a natural disaster, only nature can stop it, who are we to stop nature).
