Vayu: Flights delayed at Mumbai airport

Mumbai International Airport: Flight delays of over 20 minutes reported at Mumbai airport due to bad weather. 


In Gujarat, National Disaster Response Force evacuates citizens from beaches in Dwarka ahead of the expected landfall of Cyclone Vayu tomorrow.


Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority: A total of 1,64,090 people have been evacuated from 10 affected areas till 4 pm today. 


Operations at all ports and airports located near the Gujarat coastline have been halted temporarily as a precautionary measure against cyclone 'Vayu',
the state government said on Wednesday. The Western Railway has also announced that all trains passing through the coastal areas have either been short-terminated or cancelled for two days, from 6 pm on Wednesday.


As per the weather department, the cyclone is expected to make a landfall in Gujarat on Thursday morning.
