Jagan holds his 1st ever Cabinet meeting

Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy holds his first Cabinet meeting in Amaravati. He is also the only CM to have five deputy chief ministers.

Yesterday, he received Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the evening as he arrived in the temple town of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara, atop the sacred Tirumala Hills.

Apart from Jagan, Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy and others received the prime minister at the Tirupati airport at Renigunta after he landed from Colombo.

Reddy, who revolted against the mighty Congress high command of Sonia Gandhi, quit and started his own party, faced a slew of corruption charges and spent over 16 months in prison before he emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha polls.
