Suspended Bharatiya Janata Party MP Kirti Jha Azad on Saturday said he will join the Congress on February 15 and will contest next Lok Sabha polls from Darbganga.

Kirti Jha Azad, a cricketer-turned-politician, who was a member of the Indian cricket team that won the world cup cricket tournament for the first time in 1983, said he will join the Congress in presence of party president Rahul Gandhi.

Kirti Jha Azad is certain to be denied a party ticket to contest the 2019 polls for his criticism of the party.
