PM to inaugurate War Memorial on Feb 25

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a War Memorial at India Gate in New Delhi on February 25. The BJP in its manifesto for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls had promised that it would build a war memorial for veterans. Officials from the Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday visited the site with Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman. It is the countrys first war memorial near the India Gate complex and will pay homage to over 26,000 soldiers who have sacrificed their lives since 1947.
