IAF fighter jet crashes; 1 pilot dead, 1 ejects safely

A Mirage 2000 trainer fighter aircraft of HAL crashes at HAL Airport in Bengaluru, one pilot dead. Both pilots had ejected, but one of them died as he had landed on the wreckage of the aircraft.


Just four days ago, an Indian Air Force's Jaguar fighter plane crashed in Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the aircraft was on a routine sortie from Gorakhpur Air Force station. The pilot manged to eject safely. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the incident.
