Today's youth disapprove of nepotism: Modi

In his last Mann ki Baat of 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the country had expectations from the youth, which believes in the system and has an opinion on a wide range of issues. Youth of today is known by many names such as millennials, social media generation or even Generation Z. In the coming decade, young India will play a key role. Citing instance of the Bhairavganj Health Centre in Bihars West Champaran district, PM Modi shared how a health camp set up by alumni of a school saw thousands of people from neighbouring villages come for the check-up.

This was not a government programme, nor was it a government initiative. This was a step taken as part of an Alumni Meet organised by former students of the local KR High School. They named it 'Sankalp 95', he said, asking youth to use such alumni associations for a godd cause.

In his previous address to the nation on November 24, PM Modi had announced the launch of Fit India grading system in schools across the country. The Prime Minister had also encouraged the use of mother tongue adding that all progress was meaningless if ones mother tongue is neglected.
