CAA will not affect honor of Assam: CM Sonowal

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act: "I want to assure people that no one can steal the rights of the sons of the soil of Assam. There is no threat to our language or our identity. The CAA will in no way affect the honour of Assam. We will always have the support of the people and will move forward with peace in the state."


Mobile internet services have been restored across Assam after services were suspended on December 11 following protests over Citizenship Amendment Act.


Though, protests continued unabated across Assam on Thursday, there was no report of any violence.


The Congress observed 'Mass Satyagraha' across the state on Thursday with their former ministers, MPs, MLAs, senior leaders and other members sitting at different places.
