Jaitley's mortal remains taken to BJP HQ

Former finance minister Arun Jaitley, a key strategist and chief troubleshooter of the BJP and the Narendra Modi government during its first term, died on Saturday at the AIIMS here after battling multiple health issues for the last several months.

He will be cremated with full state honours at the Nigambodh Ghat today. Jaitley, 66, breathed his last at 12.07 pm on Saturday. He was admitted to the hospital on August 9.

BJP leaders, legislators and friends are accompanying Arun Jaitley convoy en route to the BJP headquarters.
