Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani tells the Supreme Court that Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala's order is a "gross abuse" of Constitutional power.

A bench headed by CJI Dipak Misra asks Jethmalani to mention his plea tomorrow before the bench concerned.

Yesterday, the governor invited the BJPs BS Yeddyurappa to form the government, following which the Congress moved the Supreme Court.

The court has said that it will not stay the swearing-in, but will make it subject to the outcome of the case.

The SC has also asked the Attorney-General to produce the May 15 and May 16 letters given to the Governor by Yeddyurappa staking his claim to form the government. The case will now be taken up at 10.30 a.m. on Friday.
