Jaitley reviews pending issues on GST

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Friday chaired a meeting of the GST council through video conference. Jaitley reviewed pending issues and resolved the problems brought before the GST council.

The 27th meeting of the GST Council on Friday will among other things consider the introduction of a simplified tax return form and also decide on proposal for converting the GST network into a government company.

The meeting comes at a time when GST collections achieved its record high by exceeding the Rs 1 lakh crore milestone in April.
