Anna Hazare ends fast after meeting Fadnavis

In Delhi, Anna Hazare ends his hunger strike after talks with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister of State for Agriculture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

The Centre had reached out to Hazare, with its emissary and Maharashtra minister Girish Mahajana assuring the social-activist that most of his "demands will be taken care of".

Although the first two days of the protest saw very few protesters joining him at Ramlila Maidan, but the third day was better for Anna's revamped India Against Corruption Movement.

Hazare's demands include appointment of Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in states, and giving better prices to farmers for their yield.
