The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day amid ruckus by AIADMK and TRS MPs. Saying the House will meet on Tuesday, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said she cannot take up notices for no-confidence motion against the government as the House is not in order.

The Rajya Sabha too could not transact any business for the 15th straight day, as opposition parties continued to create ruckus, forcing adjournment of proceedings.

The Parliament session next week is truncated since Monday is a public holiday for Ram Navami and Thursday and Friday are holidays for Buddha Purnima.

Which means the Parliament will meet only for two days next week.

The Opposition move to bring a no-confidence motion seems to have failed with BJP MPs crowing that Chandrababu Naidu has miscalculated Narendra Modi.
