Sushma Swaraj tweets:  'Naresh Agarwal has joined Bhartiya Janata Party. He is welcome. However, his comments regarding Jaya Bachhan ji are improper and unacceptable.'

Earlier, while joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, Agarwal, who lost out in the race for re-nomination to the Rajya Sabha to Jaya Bachchan, had said that the Samajwadi Party had equated him with the film actor 'who used to dance in films'.

"I have been compared with those who dance and work in films," Agrawal said.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, however, immediately distanced his party from Agrawal's remarks, saying his party respects people from all fields and welcomed them in politics.   -- ANI, PTI
