PM Modi addresses party workers the BJP HQ in Delhi.


"Be it Kerala, Bengal or Karnataka, the way two dozen workers were murdered there... when they can't fight face-to-face they stooped to this. Still we maintained silence. When we take action they cry 'vendetta'. This isn't vendetta but 'mandate-a -- a step for the betterment of nation.


"People spreading rumors and confusion were given the best reply democratically. Congress party ka kad itna chhota pehle kabhi nahi hua hoga jitna aaj hua hai.


"But all parties, including BJP, will have to be alert and take care that Congress culture doesn't seep in somehow.


"When I toured the country on election rallies and saw how much love I received i promised them that I would return their love with interest -- development."


The PM also congratulated security forces for ensuring peaceful polls in the three north eastern States.
