West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee today said that the 2019 Lok Sabha election will be a big blow for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

She also announced that the TMC will start 'BJP hatao, desh bachao' campaign on August 15.

"We will start 'BJP hatao, desh bachao campaign on August 15. The 2019 (Lok Sabha election) will be a big blow, Bengal will show the path," Banerjee said at annual Martyrs Day rally.

Banerjee said that her party will win all 42 Lok Sabha seats from Bengal.

Speaking on growing incidents of lynchings, she said, "The way lynching is happening everywhere in the country, they are creating Talibanis among people. In BJP and RSS, there are good people whom I respect, but some are playing dirty games."

The Martyrs Day rally is organised by the party every year on July 21 in the memory of 13 Youth Congress activists killed in police firing in 1993 during the Left Front regime in West Bengal.

Banerjee was a leader of the Youth Congress at that time.
