Days after SC directive, another man lynched by cow vigilantes

JUST IN: A man named Akbar allegedly beaten to death by a mob in Ramgarh of Rajasthan's Alwar district on suspicion of cow smuggling, police said.

The incident happened last night and an investigation is underway.

The incident comes days after Supreme Court said that 'horrendous acts of mobocracy' cannot be allowed to overrun the law of the land, and asked Parliament to consider enacting a new law to 'sternly deal with mob lynching and cow vigilantism, warning that such incidents may rise like a 'Typhon-like monster' across the country'. -- with ANI inputs
