Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan, in his speech during the debate on no-confidence motion, asked Congress president Rahul Gandhi to talk to his allies if they will support Women's Reservation Bill.

Paswan's comments was in response to Gandhi's letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking him to pass the Women's Reservation Bill if he is concerned about women's empowerment.

Amid uproar, Paswan narrated how during H D Deve Gowda's government, he tried to bring the bill but it was derailed as opposition parties changed their mind during a half-hour break before the vote.

Paswan also listed the work Modi government has done in health and education sector.

He closed his address by telling the opposition that 'there's no vacancy for PM's in 2019, try your luck in 2024', amid cheers and laughter from the treasury benches.
