First case of mob lynching happened in 1984

Speaking on mob lynching, Union Minister Rajnath Singh says the first and biggest incident of mob lynching in this country happened in 1984.

"I condemned mob lynching and promise that if a law is needed to curb mob lynching we will bring it. But I must say the first and biggest incident of mob lynching happened in 1984. And the leader of the day said 'when a big tree falls, the earth shakes'," Singh said.

Without naming Shashi Tharoor, Singh slammed his 'Hindu Pakistan' and 'Hindu Taliban' comments.
