Heavy rains continue to lash Mumbai on Monday morning with several areas waterlogged.

The MeT department has issued a warning for 'heavy to very heavy with isolated extremely heavy rainfall' in the metropolis and the neighbouring Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts.

Local trains were running slower in Nallasopara due to waterlogging on tracks.

Western Railway tweeted on Monday, '... trains being run at restricted speed at Nallasopara due to water on tracks. Some delay due to this. No water logging anywhere else on WR.'

Yesterday, of the 26 weather stations in Mumbai and its suburbs, 14 recorded more than 100 mm rainfall since yesterday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Mumbai said, adding the city's Chembur area received the highest 184.2 mm rainfall followed by Goregaon (162.2 mm).   -- PTI
