Nirmala suits-up to fly Sukhoi

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman set to undertake a 45-minute sortie in IAF's frontline combat jet Sukhoi 30 MKI from the Jodhpur airbase in Rajasthan. Sitharaman is the first woman to become full-time defence minister of India.

She will take stock of and review the operational preparedness, combat capabilities of the Indian Air Force.

Sukhoi Su-30 MKI is a modified variant of the Russia-made Sukhoi Su-30.
