Congress MP Shashi Tharoor shares a moment with Apna Dal MP Anupriya Patel at Parliament house, today, a day before the truncated winter session of parliament ends. Apna Dal had allied with the BJP during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.

The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the day after opposition's motion on the Triple Talaq Bill. The opposition has demanded the bill be sent to a select committee. If the bill is sent to a select committee of the Rajya Sabha, it can now only be passed in the next session of Parliament. Which means the panel will have to be constituted and then it will scrutinise the bill and suggest changes. Which therefore mans that bill is unlikely to be passed in the RS in this session.

But back to Tharoor. The MP from Thiruvananthapuram's vocabulary is legendary and has pushed people to reach for a dictionary or a thesaurus. For instance the time he tried to explain his choice of words in his tweets, Tharoor said, "To all the well-meaning folks who send me parodies of my supposed speaking/writing style: The purpose of speaking or writing is to communicate w/ precision. I choose my words because they are the best ones for the idea i want to convey, not the most obscure or rodomontade ones!"

It leaves us floored all the time. And we await more.
