12 held in PNB scam questioned

The CBI on Thursday questioned 12 accused who were arrested in connection with the Punjab National Bank scam. According to the CBI, a number of PNB officials, including senior officers, were also questioned.

The country has been mired in Rs 11,400 crore scam by jewellery designer Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi, Gitanjali Gems owner. The CBI on January 31 registered a case and issued a look-out notice against the designer, his partner Choksi, wife Ami and brother Nishal. -- ANI
