Vajpyee's 'asthi kalash yatra' begins; Shah, Rajnath, Yogi take part

Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's 'Asthi Kalash Yatra' begins from Panna Lal Bhalla Municipal Inter College in Haridwar.

The ashes will be taken from the college to Prem Ashram, then to Har-ki-Pauri in Haridwar for immersion.

Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath take part in the 'Asthi Kalash Yatra'.

Vajpyee died on Thursday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, after prolonged illness. His last rites were performed on Friday. -- ANI
