Governor of Madhya Pradesh Anandiben Patel takes additional charge as Governor of Chhattisgarh.

The move comes following the demise of Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon on Tuesday. The 90-year-old died after suffering a heart attack at a government hospital on Tuesday.

He was one of the founder members of Jan Sangh, from which the Bharatiya Janata Party was born.
