Preparations for Karunanidhi's burial at Marina Beach begins

Earth moving equipment arrive at Marina Beach after the Madras HC nod for the Karunanidhi's burial here. The Dravida movement leader will be buried next to his mentor, C N Annadurai or Anna as he is popularly called. Annadurai was the founder-leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and was considered to be more than a comrade to Karunandihi, who referred to him as his brother.

Tamil Nadu's main opposition party had moved the court last night after the AIADMK government rejected its request for allowing the burial of Karunanidhi on the famed Marina sands.
