AIADMK minister's vehicle accosted

The vehicle of AIADMK minister D Jayakumar who was heading to Rajaji Hall was accosted by DMK supporters, who banged on the vehicle refusing to allow it to pass. The DMK cadre were upset after MK Stalin addressed them in the wake of the stampede at Rajaji Hall blaming the AIADMK government for the inadequate security measures which he said led to the stampede. Two people have died and at least 33 were injured in the incident.
