State funeral for Karunanidhi, Centre declares day of national mourning

The central government has decided to accord state funeral to DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi, ministry of home affairs said tonight.

National flag to fly at half-mast tomorrow in Delhi, all state capitals and across Tamil Nadu as a mark of respect to Karunanidhi.

A day of national mourning has been declared for tomorrow.

Tamil media reports that petrol pumps will be shut from 6 am to 6 pm tomorrow in Chennai.

India maintains Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura belong to it.
