Winter session will see a a lot of changes, on air and in House
September 28, 2017  14:08
When Parliament convenes for its winter session there will be new floor leaders for the CPM, BSP and JD-U in the Rajya Sabha. There will also be no Hamid Ansari presiding over it, or Mayawati, Sitaram Yechury and Sharad Yadav in the first row.

The Rajya Sabha will also have a new chairman, in Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.

But these are not the only changes afoot.

Even the two TV channels, LSTV and RSTV, will see a change in their programming. The presiding officers of both the Houses want to ensure that both the TV channels project and propagate the ideology of Hindutva icons Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Lok Sabha TV plans to bring out a weekly serial based on the RSS-BJP ideology and comparing it with the Narendra Modi model of governance.   This, the BJP hopes, will be helpful in its 2019 Lok Sabha poll campaign, as CDs of the serial will be distributed to MPs and MLAs by the middle of 2018.
