The buzz in Dilli Durbar is not hard to guess, it is that the Prime Minister's Office and the BJP leadership are upset with Yashwant Sinha for his criticism of the government's handling of the economy.

After resigning from all party posts in 2009, Sinha has generally been critical of the BJP and more supportive of the Congress's views.

The PMO was concerned when English news TV channels and the Congress party strongly took up his article in yesterday's Indian Express.

It has also put his son Jayant Sinha in an embarrassing position. With the support of latest data from the finance ministry, the MP from Hazaribagh has now a long article in the Times of India blogs to counter him.

Needless to say, Yashwant Sinha managed to get good press but brought down the image of his son in the Union council of ministers.

An aside: Sinha Sr will be the chief guest at Congress leader Manish Tiwari's book launch on October 5 in Delhi.
