AMU's vice president shot at

The outgoing vice president of Aligarh Muslim University was shot at and attacked with a knife late on Monday night, ANI reports.

He was shot at by unknown assailants and the bullet scraped his shoulder, after which he was attacked with a knife.

He has been admitted in hospital, and further details are awaited.
