Amit Shah, Gujarat CM?

Gossip from Delhi Durbar has it that if the BJP wins 150 seats in the Gujarat elections Amit Shah may be sent to Gandhinagar as chief minister. And that seems to be the indication from the RSS too. Incidentally, Shah met with RSS leaders for over two hours in Delhi last week.

BJP's internal assessment says it will sweep the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh polls, with three different agencies deployed by it turning up the same results. In addition, the Intelligence Bureau too has submitted a report with similar inputs to the PMO.

Naturally, this has led to jubilation in the party's national headquarters at 11 Ashoka Road, New Delhi.
