US and India stand together against terrorism: Tillerson

United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson today backed India over its fight against terrorism and said that the US and India stand shoulder to shoulder against terrorism.

Tillerson while delivering his first policy speech on the US' bilateral relationship with India also said that the US expect Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorist groups based in their own region.

Here are some of the highlights of his speech.

- I do look forward to returning to Delhi next week, first time in my official capacity

- We look forward to US-India '2 plus 2' inaugural dialogue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump

- Need to collaborate with India to ensure that Indo-Pacific is region of peace and stability

- Expect Pakistan to take decisive action against terrorist groups based in their own region
