Just in: Himachal Pradesh will go to the polls on November 9, the votes will be counted on December 18.

Chief Election Commissioner AK Jyoti, along with ECs OP Rawat and Sunil Arora say the elections will be conducted by using EVMs with VVPAT (Voter-verified paper audit trail).

The model code of conduct for Himachal Pradesh assembly election comes into effect from now itself. 

Himachal Pradesh voting will be held in 7521 polling stations, 136 women managed poll stations.
