No family allowed on Naidu's special aircraft

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has set a personal rule that he will not take a family member in the Indian Air Force special aircraft that he travels by.

Recently it led to a piquant situation when his son was flying to Hyderabad as the same time as him. However, Naidu insisted that the son travel separately, in a commercial flight.

The only exception to this rule is when Naidu's spouse accompanies him for official functions.
