Honeypreet to be produced in Panchkula court today

Honeypreet Insan, the adopted daughter of convicted Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, is likely to be produced in Haryana's Panchkula court today.

After a hunt for over a month, she was arrested on Tuesday by the Haryana Police from Zirakpur-Patiala road in Punjab in connection with the violence that followed the sect head's conviction.

After the arrest, she was taken to the Civil Hospital in Panchkula, for a medical examination.

Honeypreet tops the list of 43 people 'wanted' by the Haryana Police in connection with the incidents of violence that left 41 people dead and several injured following Gurmeet Ram Rahim's conviction in rape case.

For almost 40 days, Haryana Police were tracking leads on Honeypreet in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. -- ANI
